Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids (later known as The New Fat Albert Show and The Adventures of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids) is an American animated series made by Bill Cosby and Filmation, which aired on CBS, who aired it until 1984, when it was syndicated in television stations. It was one of the earliest examples of an educational series, as the series featured a lesson in each episode.

The series focuses on the titular Cosby Kids/Junkyard Gang, who are kids that live in the junkyard, hence their name "Junkyard Gang". The conscience of the gang is the titular Fat Albert (based on Bill Cosby's childhood friend Albert Robertson), who, while very obese (hence the name), is very athletic and a lover of sports.
