Frédi és Béni, avagy a két kőkorszaki szaki is one of several Hungarian dubs of The Flintstones. Commonly referred to as "the classic dub", it premiered in the 1960s on MTV1, and has been aired on and off since throughout the latter decades (including three episodes airing during the show's run on Boomerang, which otherwise broadcast all other episodes with the Mafilm Audio dub); it currently airs on RTL. It is the first dub of the series, and is considered to be the most iconic. Its widespread popularity is due to the fact the dub scripts were written by the poet József Romhányi, who made heavy use of rhymes and puns in his translations. The cast was made up of leading Hungarian film and television actors, some of which would also perform comedy routines at various events in their on-screen roles.
As a result of this dub's legacy, most dubs or re-dubs of later Flintstones media have continued to uphold the rhyming tradition.
