Franklin is an educational Canadian-French-Luxembourgish-American children's animated television show, based on the Franklin the Turtle books by Brenda Clark and Paulette Bourgeois. Produced by Nelvana, the show focuses on a young turtle named Franklin who goes to school, lives in a small village called Woodland with his friends, and has many adventures playing and learning in the world around him. The series originally aired from November 3, 1997 to September 6, 2006 with the finale movie. It was followed up by a CGI adaptation, Franklin and Friends.
