Broadcast History[]

The series first premiered on Star Channel (formerly known as FOX in 1999 and Fox Channel in 2005) on August 15, 1999.

The entire series was made available for streaming on Star+ in Latin America on August 31, 2021. New episodes from the Hulu revival seasons were also premiering simultaneously on the service, starting on July 24, 2023. The dub of the ninth season later premiered on July 29, 2024 on the Disney+ Star Hub, after Star+ was retired.

Dubbing History[]

As with the Latin American Spanish dub of The Simpsons, there was a period in which a massive recast was caused, due to the conflict between the National Actors Association (ANDA) and Grabaciones y Doblajes S.A. All of the main characters and additional voices were voiced by different or new people, which affected the fifth to seventh seasons drastically.

However, under the command of Disney and new management of New Art, a large part of the cast would once again return to voice their characters for the eighth season (with the exception of Zoidberg, who is now voiced by Ulises Maynardo Zavala) just as it happened with The Simpsons since its thirty second season.

Trivia[]

  • In Leela's Homeworld, Bender's surname was changed from Rodriguez to Soto, as a reference to Cesar Soto, Bender's dub actor.
