Gaby Estrella is a Brazilian show created and written by Carina Schulze and Mara Lobão and produced by Chatrone Panorâmica. It premired on Gloob on October 14, 2013. The series tells stories about Gaby, a 13-year-old girl who is sent to her grandmother's farm in the countryside. She has to adapt to life in the country, far from technology and her friends in the city. While researching her family's past, Gaby discovers that her father was a famous singer and that she herself has a natural talent for music.
In 2014, the series was nominated for an International Emmy Kids Award in the Best Children's Series category, being the only Brazilian production nominated for that award that year. In 2014, it also won the Monet Award in the Best Teen Program category and was nominated for the Best Children's Production award by the São Paulo Association of Art Critics (APCA).
On January 18, 2018, a film based on the series called Gaby Estrella - O Filme was released in cinemas throughout Brazil. The movie takes place after the show's third season.
