Good Will Hunting is a drama film from 1997, directed by Gus Van Sant and written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The film features Robin Williams, Damon, Affleck, Stellan Skarsgård, and Minnie Driver. It follows Will Hunting, a janitor at MIT, wo is found to be a mathematical genius by a professor.
Critics praised the film, which grossed more than $225 million in theaters on a $10 million budget. It was nominated in nine categories at the 70th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won two: Best Supporting Actor (Williams) and Best Original Screenplay (Affleck and Damon). It placed 53rd on The Hollywood Reporter's "100 Favorite Films" list in 2014.
