Gribouille is a French live-action/animated children's television series created by Denis Dugas, Pierre-Alek Beddiar, and Lorenzo Vallée. The series is based on the title character by Dugas, who was previously featured in L'Île aux enfants. It premiered on on Canal+ Family.
The show follows a yellow monster named Gribouille, a purple crayon named Minimine, and their pink fish Bulle as they love to play their favorite game, La Gribounette (a Riddleboo in English). Gribouille draws something while Minimine tries to guess what it is. When correctly guessed, sentient crayons color in the piece and bring it to life. At the end of each episode, the duo draw the Riddleboo again, going over the drawing as a tutorial.
In nearly all international versions of the show, Gribouille was renamed to Doodleboo, and Minimine was renamed to Sketchy.
Broadcast[]
Gribouille premiered on Canal+ Family in France on February 7, 2015.[3] The second season premiered on Piwi+ on March 11, 2019.[4]
In Canada, the series airs on TFO.
