Heidi is the French dub of アルプスの少女ハイジ. It has previously aired on Ici Radio-Canada Télé in Canada, France 5, TF1, Télétoon in France, Télé Luxembourg both in that country, as in Monaco and Switzerland, TV1 in Algeria and RTT in Tunisia, and it is currently airing on Piwi+ in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland; it is also available online on YouTube.This dub is based on the German and Japanese versions. It was produced in Quebec, Canada, by a cast of Quebecers and French actors. The series was very successful in French-speaking countries, especially France and Canada, where the series has been rebroadcast in very recent years. Currently, the series is complete, on the official YouTube channel Studio100 Kids Français.

Adaptation[]
- Although this dub used the German dub as a base, it took elements from the original Japanese version, including its soundtrack, composed by Takeo Watanabe. However, the French and Canadian opening is an adaptation of the German opening.
- Unlike all European dubs, and the others produced in America and Asia (not counting the dubs from China and Taiwan), the French dub is the only one that makes a series of changes to the characters' surnames, for francization them. The most relevant changes are:
- Miss Rottenmeier's surname is adapted as Rougemont.
- The Sesseman Family's surname is changed to Gérard.
- Clara, in French is called Claire (the French variant of the name).
- Peter, in French is called Pierre (in the latter case, in the same way that he adapted himself in Spanish and Portuguese as Pedro, using the variant of name in his language).
- Despite the fact that Canada and France used the same dub in their broadcasts, each country produced its own opening theme song for its broadcasts. Currently, the opening made in France is used in official broadcasts. This opening, despite being classic, is not to the taste of all the French, as seen in the comments on this video, because of how "sad" the interpretation sounds to them. Few audio samples remain of the Canadian opening today, generally in low quality.
- There is a second opening from France, which is an adaptation of the Japanese opening. This opening was unreleased, and was part of some somewhat unknown LPs released from the series.
