Işıkyılı is the Turkish dub of Lightyear. It was originally planned to be released in cinemas in Türkiye on June 7, 2022, but was eventually postponed to September 2, 2022 before being removed from the schedule indefinitely,[1] most likely due to Disney's refusal to cut a same-sex kiss between Alisha Hawthorne and her female partner. Homosexuality is widely frowned upon in Türkiye, where same-sex relationships are not recognized and LGBT content regularly experiences censorship.
Instead, the dub was released on Disney+ on August 3, 2022 outside of Türkiye.
