Iyuno Mexico (formerly known as Iyuno-SDI Group, Mexico, SDI Media Mexico, SDI Media de México and Prime Dubb) is a Latin American Spanish recording studio located in Mexico City and is part of Iyuno.

History[]

Prime Dubb México, S.A. de C.V. was founded by the actor, dubbing director and businessman Eduardo Giaccardi, with the support and advice of his father, the director and businessman Joe Giaccardi. In its beginnings, this company was located at Sóstenes Rocha Street 84 (between Periférico and Constituciónntes Avenue) and shortly afterward it moved its studios to Pino Street 1, in Colonia Florida. Among his works, projects from Disney, 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures and Warner stood out. Its objective has been to offer dub services for Latin America, Brazil and the United States.[1]

It also had the support and collaboration of companies such as Prime Creative Affairs, which offered creative supervision in all recording, mixing, print master and copying processes in English, Spanish, Portuguese and other languages ​​for special projects. Labofilms, S.A., Laboratorios Cinematográficos, with equipment and technology with more than thirty years of experience, offering negative development services in 35mm, 16mm and Super 16. Negative cutting and editing, 35mm color positive copies. And Producciones Grande, with comprehensive audiovisual, production and post-production services. These last two companies, years later, would offer full dubbing services.[1]

In 2007, the studio was acquired by the localization company SDI Media, after negotiations with its then VP of global dubbing Javier Pontón, so the studio then became SDI Media de México.[1]

In 2013, Eduardo Giaccardi left SDI to open a new company called LaboPrime, being replaced by the actor and director Mario Castañeda until mid-2014, when Raymundo Aldana held the position of regional director until 2019, from 2019 to 2020 he was replaced by Simón Parra and since that same year, Geraldine Bocardo is currently in that position. Gabriela Garay is the dubbing manager and José Luis Negrete is the clientd manager.[2]

On April 1, 2021, SDI Media was acquired by Iyuno Media Group, which led to the rebrand of SDI Media de México to Iyuno-SDI Group, Mexico. On October 26, 2022, the studio, just as the other global studios of the group, was renamed to Iyuno Mexico.[3][4]
