Iyuno Thailand (formerly known as Iyuno-SDI Group, Thailand, Iyuno Media Group Thailand, BTI Studios Malaysia, i-Yuno Media Group Thailand, SDI Media Thailand or Media Watchers Thailand) is an Thai recording studio located in Bangkok and is part of Iyuno.
History[]
SDI Media[]
Media Watchers Thailand was the Thai subsidiary of the Hongkongese company Media Watchers, that was established on February 4, 1997 and provided translation and subtitling services.[1] On October 22, 1998, SDI Media Group acquired a majority stake in Media Watchers Group.[2] The full acquisition of Media Watchers by SDI Media took place shortly afterwards, and on February 11, 2000, the company was renamed SDI Media Hong Kong, while its Thai subsidiary would become SDI Media Thailand on April 3, 2000.
BTI Studios[]
RMS Media Systems Company was a Thai company founded in June 16, 2005.[3]
On August 8, 2007, the company was renamed Medi-Lan Thailand, following its purchase by Medi-Lan.
On April 30, 2015, BTI Studios acquired Medi-Lan, changing the name of the Thai branch to BTI Studios Thailand in April 2016.[4]
Iyuno[]
i-Yuno Media Group Thailand was the Thai branch of the i-Yuno Media Group founded in November 4, 2013.[5]
On September 12, 2019, Iyuno Media Group acquired BTI Studios, moving BTI's projects in Thailand to Iyuno's facilities in the country, which dictated the closure of BTI Studios' Thai headquarters on December 2, 2020.[6]
On April 1, 2021, SDI Media was acquired by Iyuno Media Group, which led to the merger of the two companies and, consequently, the same happened with the Malaysian subsidiaries of both, creating Iyuno-SDI Group, Thailand. Since October 26, 2022, just as the other global studios of the group, was renamed to Iyuno Thailand.[7]
