KM Studio is a Swedish multinational dubbing company.

History[]

The company was established in 1965 as a music recording studio.[1]

Dubbing operations were established in 1985, which quickly became the main business of the studio.

During 2007, the company established new dubbing studios in Denmark, Finland and Norway, while using the name Audio Resort. In the same year, in December, began the construction of a Dutch studio in Amsterdam, however, the works were apparently cancelled.[2]

On November 22, 2018, Audio Resort opened a new dubbing studio in Berlin, Germany.[3]

In 2019, all studios adopted the KM brand definitely, except the German branch which continued to being registered as Audio Resort.

On June 2, 2022, Plint, a Swedish localization company founded in 2002, acquired 100% of the shares of KM Studio, which eventually became part of Plint's localization services, however, the KM Studio and Audio Resort brands continued to be used in some projects.[4]

On January 27, 2023, Plint opened a new Dutch studio.[5]

In July 2024, Plint got rid of KM Studio, which returned as an actively independent company. Furthermore, while the Dutch studio was sold to TransPerfect on November 21, the German studio was completely dissolved on 2025.[6][7]
