La leyenda de la Nahuala is an animated film released on October 31, 2007, being the fourth animated feature film produced in Mexico and the first to be exhibited in digital format (DTS).
It was directed by Ricardo Arnais and made by the animation studio Animex in alliance with the government of the state of Puebla.
This would be the first film belonging to the animated film saga Las Leyendas, which would also have two animated series that serve as a reboot of it called Las Leyendas and Las Leyendas: Creaturas ocultas.
