Trivia[]
- Like in several other dubs of the film, Alessia Amendola (Scuttle) had previously dubbed Awkwafina in Raya and the Last Dragon as Sisu and in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as Katy, while Roberto Pedicini (King Triton) had previously dubbed Javier Bardem in Dune as Stilgar and in Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile as Hector P. Valenti.
- Simona Patitucci was the voice of Ariel in the animated movie back in 1989, and returned to this adaptation as Ursula this time. She auditioned for both Ariel and Ursula in the animated movie, but ended up getting Ariel.
- Renata Fusco, part of the choir, was the singing voice of Ariel in the 2000 animated sequel "The Little Mermaid The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea" and in the 2001 direct-to-video movie "Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse".
- Part of the movie were actually shot in Italy, on the northern coast of Sardinia, such as the sequences at sea, the cliff and the fishermen's village. *Veronica Benassi (speaking voice) as Vanessa. at the movie.
- Ermavilo, stage name of Ernesto Brancucci, who was the lyricist of the animated movie in 1989, is still credited as Musical Director despite his death in 2021. He created with his daugthers Virginia and Lorena the singing-dubbing school "Scuola Ermavilo" in 2018, which is why the name appears, even though he didn't take any part in the dubbing.
