Trivia[]

  • The European Spanish dub of this adaptation of The Little Mermaid reuses the lyrics from the Latin American Spanish dub, written by Javier Pontón, as opposed to the Spaniard lyrics written for the dub of the original 1998 film.
  • Like in several other dubs of the film, Carla Medina (Scuttle) had previously dubbed Awkwafina in Raya and the Last Dragon as Sisu.
  • Gaby Cárdenas, who is the recurring voice of Melissa McCarthy inside and outside of DCVI, did not return to dub her this time; Laura Torres performed the role here instead. However, Cárdenas did participate in this film as the musical director and performing additional voices.
    • As well, Humberto Solórzano, who dubbed Javier Bardem in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, another DCVI film, did not return for unknown reasons, being dubbed by Ricardo Tejedo.
  • Cony Madera, the current Latin American voice of Ariel, participates in this film dubbing Jodi Benson.
    • Humberto Vélez, Sebastián's current voice, also participates dubbing Joshua.
