Le avventure di Barbapapà is one of several Italian dubs of Barbapapa. It was the first Italian dub of the show to be produced, although it was the second to be released. This dub was presented as a 70-minute compilation film, combining several episodes of the original series and re-packaging them as a full-length movie. It was produced in 1973 by Reflex Cinematografica, but was only released in Italian theaters in 1977. The film was later released on DVD.

Notes[]

  • This is one of a few dubs of the first season to feature individual voices for the characters, whereas in the original, the narrator provided the voices for each character.
  • This dub uses a mix of its own sound effects and background music produced exclusively for the film, and the same BGM that the original show used.
    • The insert songs that play throughout various episodes all use the same instrumental tracks as the original.
  • Only season one episodes were used to produce the film, as season two was nonexistent by the time of its production.
  • The transformation phrase used when the Barbapapas shapeshift is translated here as "Hip hip hip, resta di stucco".
  • Claudio Lippi, the voice of Barbapapa, would reprise his role in the 1976 Italian dub of the series.
