Left 4 Dead 2 is a 2009 first-person shooter game developed and published by Valve, as well as the sequel of Left 4 Dead. It was originally released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 in November 2009 and for Mac OS X in October 2010, and is the second title in the Left 4 Dead series. Set during the aftermath of a zombie outbreak on the East Coast of the United States like its predecessor, the game pits its four protagonists, dubbed the "Survivors", against hordes of the infected.
