France[]
The dub premiered on Canal+ (unencrypted) on December 15, 1990. Some Enchanted Evening (S01E13) premiered that day, with Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire (S01E01) following the next week.
The M6 group acquired the broadcasting rights for the first 15 seasons in 2006, allowing them to air them on channel W9 (which is fully free-to-air, unlike Canal+). They also aired it on M6 for a few months towards the movie's release in 2007.
Belgium[]
The dub premiered on Club RTL sometime in 1995, alongside the launch of the channel. It would air until February 2016, when it got unscheduled due to low ratings[3][4] shortly after premiering season 26. It would however return on sister channel Plug RTL for a few months in 2016[5], then again in early 2023[6].
It would return on public service channel Tipik on September 7, 2020[7] starting from season 22. It was aired until season 30, then returned to season 6. Season 32 premiered on Tipik in September 2022.
Home video releases[]
VHS[]
Seasons 1-4 have been released on VHS with French localization as seen on TV broadcasts of the era; each boxset contains 3 to 5 episodes per tape, with seasons 2-4 being split up into two "parts".
DVD[]
The first 20 seasons are also available as the French audio track of region 2 DVDs.

Trivia[]
- Philippe Peythieu and Véronique Augereau, voices of Homer and Marge respectively, are married in real life.
Censorship[]
- Due to a law prohibiting the advertising of alcoholic drinks in TV shows, Duff beer is censored on W9 airings in France since 2012.
- Due to that same law, "Waiting for Duffman" (season 26, episode 17) is only available on Disney+ in France.
