Littlest Pet Shop is the Latin American Spanish dub of the show of the same name. Produced by SDI Media de México, the dub first premiered on Nickelodeon in Latin America on August 31, 2013. The first three seasons aired on the channel, with the season 3 finale airing on March 26, 2016. The series also aired on Nick Jr. as of December 8, 2014, as well.

The dub then saw a channel switch to Discovery Kids, with the final season of the series premiering on February 13, 2017. Because of this, a studio switch occurred as well as the dub was then recorded in IDF, resulting in some voice actors staying and others being replaced. The final episode of the series aired on August 5, 2017. The series continued airing re-runs on the channel until November 8, 2019.

As well, the first three seasons of the show still continued airing on Nickelodeon until June 11, 2017, and Nick Jr. until sometime in 2018.

Broadcast[]

Littlest Pet Shop aired on sister channel Nick 2 in Latin America from August 1, 2016 to sometime in 2018. In Puerto Rico, the dub aired on Telemundo beginning January 2, 2016. Episodes aired at 11:30 a.m. and only one season aired. In Uruguay, the dub ran on Teledoce from January 4, 2014 to January 5, 2019. Episodes aired at 10:00 AM.

Episodes would air on Discovery Kids in Latin America at 1:00 on the Argentinean feed. Episodes from seasons 1-3 would also air on the channel alongside being the premiere channel for season 4.

Release[]

The first season of Littlest Pet Shop was released onto Netflix sometime in 2015. On January 1, 2016, the second season was released on the service. On April 1, 2016, the third season would be released. The fourth season was never released.

Notes[]

  • Shortly after the series premiered in Latin America, Hasbro uploaded the official Littlest Pet Shop webpage with videos containing scenes from the series, focused on introducing each of the protagonists, called "Meet the Pets". For the Latin American Spanish version, Leyla Rangel is the narrator, as with the "Meet the Ponies" videos of the My Little Pony series. They have aired on Discovery Kids, likely as a reference to the fact that Friendship Is Magic was already broadcast on the network.
    • Despite the channel switch from Nickelodeon to Discovery Kids, these commercials use clips from the first three seasons instead of the season that debuted on the latter.
  • With the series' broadcast on Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and Nick 2 in Latin America, Brazilian dubbing credits appear at the end of each episode alongside the Latin American Spanish credits. This normally happens with many Nick series, but in this case, it is rare since this is a Hasbro/DHX Media series.
  • Downtown City is adapted as "Ciudad Central" (tr. Central City) in all seasons, except in the beginning of the fourth season where the original English name is retained.
