Luise Lunow (former stage name Gerda-Luise Thiele) is a German actress and voice actress. She is Germany's oldest active dubbing actress.
Biography[]
Luise Lunow grew up in Potsdam-Babelsberg. She trained at the Berlin State Ballet School and performed as a temporary member of the ensemble at the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam during her training. She later worked at the Maxim Gorki Theater in East Berlin from 1976 to 1987. She took on smaller roles as a film and television actress. In 1987, she did not return to East Germany from a visit to West Germany. Luise Lunow also acts in audio plays; after the death of Tilly Lauenstein, she took over her voice role as “head witch Mania” in the Bibi Blocksberg franchise. In June 2011, she recorded the advertising song Acid auf Rädern (Acid on wheels) for AS&S Radio under the pseudonym Enkelschreck. Until 2013, she worked at various theaters, including the Schlossparktheater Berlin. In 2015, she published an autobiographical audio book.
In May 2019, she was awarded the German dubbing award for her life's work.
