Lutz Schnell is a German actor, voice actor, radio speaker and audio book speaker.

Biography[]

Schnell attended several acting schools, including those of Hildburg Frese and Hedi Höpfner. After theater engagements, he appeared in Das Boot (1981) and television series, but largely limited himself to dubbing. In 1985, he appeared in the television series Eigener Herd ist Goldes wert as Nephew Günter.

Schnell is best known for his voice, which he has lent to Tintin from the radio plays and film adaptations of the Tintin comics, Michelangelo in Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and Torti Smurf , as well as Hank Schrader in the television series Breaking Bad and Jesse Mach in Street Hawk. He was also heard again in the 3D cinema adventure The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, this time in the role of Captain Haddock. From 2009 to 2013 he lent his voice to Gustavo Rocque from the series Big Time Rush. He is also known as the German dubbing voice of Mads Mikkelsen (Pusher, Pusher 2, Flickering Lights, The Green Butchers, Adam's Apples) and currently of Wayne Knight (The Exes) and others.

He has lived in Berlin since 2001.
