Trivia[]

  • This film was one of the four Studio Ghibli films released in France prior to the signing of the worldwide distribution contract between Disney and Ghibli in July 1996: Porco Rosso (distributed by StudioCanal), My Neighbor Totoro (distributed by Gébéka Films), and Grave of the Fireflies (distributed by Kazé).
    • Of the four films mentioned above, this was the only one to benefit from a redub. The reason for this is unknown, although it could have been due to the failure to acquire the rights to this dub, the loss of the dubbing masters, or the restoration of a shot missing in the Océan Films dub that would have required the recall of the actress dubbing Shige (Colette Venhard).
