Michael Rüth (real name Karl-Heinz Zopf) was a German actor and voice actor.
Biography[]
In 1964, Michael Rüth, alongside Joachim Kemmer played at the Berliner Kammerspiele. In 1967, Rüth played alongside Hans-Werner Bussinger and Manfred Lehmann at the Forum Theater in West Berlin. In 1968, he played and sang at the Operettenhaus in Hamburg in the musical Fiddler on the Roof. At the end of the 1990s, Rüth was engaged at the Altes Schauspielhaus in Stuttgart.
Rüth achieved greater fame as a voice actor. One of his best-known dubbing roles is the piano-playing dog Rowlf in The Muppet Show.
Michael Rüth ended his work as a voice actor in 2013. Karl-Heinz Zopf died in January 2024 at the age of 85.
