Trivia[]
- The movie was originally released (as the Continental European English version with Albanian subtitles) as “Vaiana: Në kërkim të ishullit mitik” in cinemas in November 2016. The original character name (Moana) was kept for the dubbed version, likely due to the translation being based off the original English script.
- Originally, more songs were dubbed into Albanian, including "You're Welcome" and Tala's part in "I Am Moana". All actors were doing both speaking and singing. However, the director (Sara) rejected the results [༢] of the songs, except for Moana's ("How Far I'll Go", "How Far I'll Go Reprise", "I Am Moana" & "Know Who You Are") and Tamatoa's ("Shiny"). All the other songs were eventually left in English with subtitles. Ilir Kazaferi and Erion Dushi were originally part of the choir of the Albanian songs.
- An earlier version with all songs subtitled exists, and it illegally airs on Sofia.
- Unlike the majority of Albanian dubs, this dub was legally produced and authorized by Disney.
- Although a few sound effects are missing and the dub was produced in mono audio, indicating they could've used only one of the tracks from the original stereo/surround given by Disney.
- There was no musical director for this dubbing, with the singers directing themselves.
