The Dubbing Database
This article is about the Croatian HRT 2 dub. For the Slovene Minimax dub, see here.

Moj mali poni: Prijateljstvo je čarobno is one of two Croatian dubs of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Following the 2011 demo dub, it first premiered on HRT 2 in November 2014, with every episode being cut into two parts for television broadcast, doubling the number of episodes. It was shown early mornings on the channel, during the Ju-hu-hu! block. The second and final season aired in 2016. The first season was also released on a set of 13 DVDs, each containing two episodes.

This dub, produced by Novi Mediji and mixed by vanity record label Euroton Records, received negative reception for its bizarre production, though it would go on to become a meme in Croatia thanks to ironic viewing. It was notorious mostly for its poor audio editing, mixing, and adaptation. Additionally, the script was often copied from the two Serbian dubs - primarily the LoudWorks dub, but also occasionally the Studio Studio dub. Samples from the former can be heard in the theme song and throughout season 1, sometimes with a voice-over for any words different between Serbian and Croatian.

A new Croatian dub would later be produced by Livada Produkcija of seasons 1 and 4-5, which premiered in 2017 on RTL Kockica to better reception.

Broadcast[]

The series premiered on December 8, 2014 on HRT 2. The first season aired daily. It was then reran on weekdays from July 7 to September 14, 2015, and daily from July 7, 2016. The second season started in November 2016 on weekdays, except Tuesdays. It was reran every day from October 22, 2017, and again from February 9, 2019 on weekends. Finally, on April 22 of the same year, reruns ceased of the dub.

Cast[]

Only consistent voice actors are listed; there are many instances of characters randomly switching voice actors for certain lines. Additionally, all singing for female characters was performed by Andrea Baković unless specified otherwise. The episodes also use excerpts of the Serbian LoudWorks version, retaining the Serbian names of the characters and voice actors as a result.

Notes[]

  • This dub is incomplete; only the first two seasons were dubbed. Some of the cast would still reprise their roles with the Croatian dub of the 2017 film, although it was produced by another studio entirely.
  • When airing on HRT 2, each episode was split in half, using localised "To be continued" and "Previously on My Little Pony" title cards. The second half featured a custom recap, which were consistently made of clip montages and a narrator. This format was changed in the middle of the second season (beginning with "The Last Roundup"), ditching the clip montages entirely, and replacing them with the given episodes' prologues, while leaving the narrator in. This caused problems with the narration and the regular character dialogue playing over each other.
    • On DVD, episodes were released in their entirety instead of split in two, so they did not have recaps and the voice-overs that said Part 1 and Part 2 were muted, including the end of the theme song underneath.[2]
  • In "A Canterlot Wedding", since a Serbian LoudWorks dub of that episode does not exist, the scripts are based on Studio Studio's Serbian dub for Minimax instead.

Errors[]

  • In season 1, after the "To Be Continued" title card, the credit sequence from "Friendship Is Magic, Part 1" would play no matter what episode it was, meaning that only the second half of an episode would contain the correct credits. Season 2 is the same but with "The Return of Harmony, Part 1."
  • Some lines of dialogue are either too short, too long, or in the wrong place. Lines that are too short tend to be looped or filled in with something unrelated, while lines that are too long either are cut off, clip out of lip-syncing, audibly overlap with the next line or even replace it entirely. In more severe cases, it leads to missing dialogue, whether it be in form of empty air or a completely different recording replacing the intended one.
    • For example, "The Show Stoppers" has multiple instances of blatantly missing dialogue and singing.
    • "A Bird In The Hoof" suffers from Fluttershy's singing being replaced by spoken dialogue.
    • The "Welcome Song" is replaced with "Smile Song."
    • The brown dragon in "Dragon Quest" saying "You sure your name is Spike and not Shrimp?" and "I think he's Crackle's cousin" in another dragon's voice replaces the lines "You look more like peewee to me" and "You fly on your mommy's back during migration?" respectively.
    • Mulia Mild in "MMMystery on the Friendship Express" says "But how?" in Gustave le Grand's voice twice instead of "Why are we all here again?".
  • Sound effects sometimes play randomly, even when they have no place at the timestamp they are playing on:
    • In "The Show Stoppers", the sound of a leaf slapping Scootaloo entirely replaces the Cutie Mark Crusaders' acapella rendition of "Cutie Mark Crusaders Song".
    • In "The Last Roundup", a magical blast sound effect plays during Mayor Mare's speech.
    • Pinkie cheering and destruction sound effects play during "This Day Aria".
  • There are several instances of misgendering characters or mismatching voice actors:
    • While most of Scootaloo's lines were taken from the Serbian LoudWorks dub in "Call of the Cutie", the ones that were dubbed into Croatian were done by a male voice actor.
    • Tank is referred to as a female at first in "May the Best Pet Win!“, and then as a male near the end of the episode.
    • The 'male' vocals present in "Smile Song" and "The Heart Carol" are performed by Andrea Baković with her voice pitched down, instead of an actual male singer.
    • Derpy/Muffins is referred to as a male by Rainbow Dash, although she is still voiced by a female voice actor.
  • There are various moments of misnaming characters, particularly as a result of taking from the Serbian LoudWorks dub; for example, in the Croatian dub of "Art of the Dress", Applejack gets referred to as "Jabuklina" even though her name is "Ivka", and Fluttershy as "Tihana" when it is actually "Plahuljica", and so on.
  • When Adnan Prohić voiced Spike, his lines suffered a lack of direction, causing them to always be merely read with no inflection.
  • Despite Andrea Baković being a professional singer, due to a lack of musical direction, her songs are mainly affected by poor vocal work.
  • The use of Serbian vocals also causes multiple instances of vocal dissonance, most notoriously with Twilight, Pinkie, and Spike, who all have very peppy and high-pitched voices in Serbian whereas their Croatian voices are deep and more mellow.
  • In some songs, the translated lyrics make no grammatical sense, such as some lines in "Art of the Dress" which mean "Every insisting is very important" and "It may all mean tiresome."

Errors by episode[]

  • In the opening segment, the narrator does not speak her lines fast enough, causing the narration to go out of sync with the visuals - for instance, when the Elements of Harmony appear, the narrator speaks about Nightmare Moon's vow instead of name-dropping the Elements, only doing so at the end of the sequence where Celestia banishes Nightmare Moon. In addition, the narration also directly overlaps with Twilight speaking, and makes a claim that the remaining princess took responsibility for "both herself and the sun".
    • At the end of the opening narration, the narrator mistakenly says that the elder sister took responsibility for "both herself and the sun", with the moon going completely unmentioned.
  • When Twilight meets Fluttershy, the latter audibly says her name instead of muffling it beyond recognition, but Twilight's lines about not hearing her well are kept in.
  • A voice clip of Twilight retching plays in places where it does not make sense just to fill in space (for instance, when she introduces herself, she says "Zovem se Iskra Sumrak, ewwww ewwww"), but not where it was intended (when Twilight spits out an apple).
  • After Granny Smith's introduction, Applejack conjugates the verb 'reči' ('to say') in the masculine form 'rekao', thus mistakenly referring to herself as a male.
  • Applejack's introduction of the Apple family is too short, with her mention of Granny Smith occurring when Big Mac appears on-screen.
  • A voice clip of Granny Smith saying "What?" is replayed several times while she tries to get up and walk towards Twilight. It is possible that this was done intentionally to fill in the white noise.
  • When Rarity remarks about putting rubies instead of emeralds on Twilight's gem coat, "emeralds" is looped.
  • The "To be continued..." shot from the end of the episode is placed at the end of the first half together with background music that plays with it, causing an abrupt change from a casual scene to a dramatic ending.
  • While Fluttershy is rehearsing the bird orchestra, "And one, two, three" is looped.
  • Spike's line "Well, well, well" from when Fluttershy says that he is cute is replayed when Fluttershy asks him what dragons talk about.
  • Twilight's remark about Spike "being too tired" is too long, clipping out of Twilight's mouth movement and overlapping Fluttershy's line right after.
  • Recorded dialogue for Pinkie Pie's story about setting up a surprise party for Twilight is too long, going out of sync with Pinkie Pie's lip-syncing (for example, reciting her "Aaah!" several seconds after her facial expression changed for a second to match it) and ending when Twilight goes upstairs after accidentally drinking hot sauce. Her "She's so happy she's crying" also replaces her "What? It's good!" after eating a cupcake with hot sauce.
    • As a result of the above error, Applejack's "Are you all right, sugarcube?" plays in the middle of Pinkie Pie talking.
  • The studio-made recaps are mixed up. The recap from second half of the first episode makes a claim that Twilight and her friends are "still searching for their princess" and that "Nightmare Moon set up a plethora of traps for them" even though Twilight had not met all of her soon-to-be friends yet, essentially spoiling the upcoming plot, while the recap from the first half of the second episode likewise claims that "preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration are still underway" despite the fact the celebration had just been held. Additionally, the second erroneous studio-made recap is immediately followed by the original recap.
  • Steven Magnet's voice has almost no inflection, and the same recording is used for both his crying and his laughter.
  • Applejack's line where she questions Steven Magnet's crying fit is done by a male voice actor.
  • In the official recap, Twilight says "All ponies in this town are crazy!" twice.
  • Spike's line about stopping Nightmare Moon is looped.
  • Applejack's line about Twilight knowing what is going on is looped.
  • Twilight's line where she explains that she had read about the Elements of Harmony and not known what they are overlaps with Pinkie Pie's line following it.
  • Twilight's line where she asks Steven Magnet why he is crying is looped.
  • The Shadowbolts' line "Izaberi... Ili mi... Ili oni..." clips out of their lip-syncing and is looped.
  • Rainbow Dash says "Thanks for your offer" twice.
  • The lines where Twilight talks about the sixth element and Applejack asking what that means overlap each other.
  • Princess Celestia's line "Princess Luna." plays in the middle of her previous line, followed by "Now if only another will as well". Her line about calling Luna "little sister" also overlaps with the next line of dialogue due to being too long, leading to Twilight saying "'Little sister'?" before Celestia finishes her sentence.
  • Celestia's declaration of Twilight's "new task" is too long, leading to Twilight and her friends rejoicing before Celestia states that Twilight can stay in Ponyville.

  • The samples from the Serbian dub are absent, which means that Ana Milenković's vocals from the theme song are missing. "The Ticket Song" also has no vocals from Pinkie, which is likely for this reason as well.
  • When Spike reads Celestia's reply to Twilight's message that contains the two tickets, "My faithful student Twilight" is translated as "My faithful teacher Twilight", as the words for 'teacher' (učiteljica) and 'student' (učitenica) in Croatian are very similar.

  • Part 2 is mistakenly given the title (Odbrusiti prijateljstvo) of episode 5 "Griffon the Brush Off". A voice also randomly says "Velika berba jabuka" at the very beginning shot of the episode, which is the localised title of this episode's Serbian LoudWorks dub.
  • Some of Rarity's lines were voiced by Pinkie's voice actress instead of her own.
  • During the instances of Applejack mishearing others, their lines are not muffled.

  • One of Spike's lines was dubbed by a different male voice actor.
  • Fluttershy's crying after Gilda screams at her is done by a male voice actor.
  • When Gilda blows out the cake, the microphone clips.

  • Before the intro, Rarity is voiced by Pinkie Pie's voice actress, but her normal voice actress returns after the intro.

  • Fluttershy is supposed to speak in a deep, masculine voice after being affected by the poison joke, but when she says "I don't know, seems awfully dangerous", she says it in her normal voice. When she says "You made me sound ridiculous", not only does she not say it in a masculine voice, she says it in Pinkie Pie's voice.
  • When Twilight tells Pinkie Pie that Zecora's singing does not sound like Pinkie's "Evil Enchantress" song, she is voiced by a male voice actor.
  • Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy's renditions of "Evil Enchantress" do not match; the former consists of just "She's evil", "She does an evil dance", and "La la la la la la", while the latter is an excerpt from the Serbian Mini version edited to be shorter and looped several times.

  • Twilight calls the Canis Major constellation the Ursa Major and compares it to the Ursa Minor, when the constellation shown on-screen is neither of the Ursas. The exact same mistake happens in the Serbian LoudWorks dub that the Croatian script was copied from.

  • Rainbow Dash's bullies are voiced by women, despite being adult stallions.
  • Lucy Packard was voiced by a man, although she is still referred to as a female.
  • When Rainbow Dash panics about what could happen to her if she were to lose, she mistakenly says that Princess Celestia will cast her out of the Everfree Forest instead of banishing her there.
  • Rainbowshine and Foggy Fleece both refer to themselves as males, despite being female and voiced by women.
  • Rainbowshine says the same thing Foggy Fleece does ("I could watch you all day!") instead of her suggestion of entering the competition while Rarity replies as if she did hear the suggestion, creating a plot hole as this script change makes it unclear where Rarity suddenly got the idea of entering the competition.
  • Princess Celestia's declaration of Rainbow Dash winning has a grammatical error, wherein she unnecessarily repeats "And so" within her sentence, creating a redundancy (i.e. "And so for her [...] Sonic Rainboom, and so I'll present this award...")

  • The part where Applejack walks over to the Cutie Mark Crusaders' clubhouse window has no dialogue, resulting in a scene where Applejack quietly stands by the window for several seconds before suddenly cringing for seemingly no reason.
  • When Twilight walks into her library to find the CMCs rummaging through her books, Twilight says "And what do we need that for?" (with this line normally being spoken by Apple Bloom later on), leading to Apple Bloom's mouth moving with nothing coming out of it.

  • Chief Thunderhooves' line after "You Gotta Share, You Gotta Care" song is too short, leaving a second of his mouth moving without any sort of dialogue. Said part also has a stretching sound effect and background music mixed in.
  • Pinkie Pie's song reprise that re-triggers the impeding attack is muted, leaving only instrumental music.

  • When Fluttershy sings to the hummingbird, her singing is completely removed and instead replaced by one of her previous existing lines ("Say hello to your new friend, Philamena").

  • The song "At the Gala" alone contains many errors:
    • The start and end of the song's Serbian vocals are off-beat.
    • Because of using Serbian vocals, they inherit that dub's mistake where one female singer performs the stallions' vocals; the Croatian-dubbed vocals also have the same error, with only Andrea Baković singing for them.
    • The choir is missing from Applejack and Rarity's parts of the song.
    • During Rainbow's verse (where only a few words were dubbed into Croatian), the Serbian dub is sampled with the instrumental intact, causing an off-beat double instrumental.
    • The layering in the end of Pinkie and Twilight's verses is poor and abrupt, and causes vocal dissonance due to the voice of Milena Moravčević sounding nothing like that of Andrea Baković and Tina Bukić.
    • In Twilight's verse, there is unnecessary ill fitting reverb.

  • Some of Discord's laughs and chuckles from the original English track are left intact despite the ones from this dub playing over them.
  • When Celestia tells about Discord, the line mentioning his name plays twice.
  • As Celestia is telling that she and Luna are no longer connected to the Elements of Harmony, Twilight's line plays before Celestia's line is finished.
  • Celestia's questioning of how the Elements of Harmony were taken is too long in comparison to the original script, with the "That chamber is protected" part taking up the entirety of the original line and "This doesn't make sense" playing after Discord's chuckle (i.e. when Celestia stops speaking).
  • Rainbow Dash's "Hey!" when she tries to attack Discord is replayed several times, first after her "Nopony insults the Princess", then a second time after she crashes into the stained window, and then two more times after her declaration of loyalty to Princess Celestia.
  • The line containing Rainbow Dash's aforementioned declaration of loyalty plays before Discord is done talking about her.
  • While Discord is explaining the "second rule" of his game, Fluttershy's gasping at her disappearing wings is replayed.
  • During Applejack's vision of her friends disbanding, Fluttershy's and Pinkie Pie's lines overlap each other and Rarity's line plays after she closes her mouth.
  • During Pinkie Pie's visit to Discord's balloon party trap, her entire dialogue up until "What gives?" (which follows a replay of her laughing) is too long due to her second sentence cutting into the part where she's tripped and her yelp playing a couple of seconds after she is shown covered in mud.
  • Pinkie Pie's "My friends laugh with me, not at me" and Discord's "Really?" overlap each other.
  • When Pinkie Pie is surrounded by balloons resembling her friends laughing at her, a short audio clip of dubbed Discord's laughter is played over the balloons' laughing several times.
  • Lines of dialogue where Pinkie Pie begs her "friends" to stop laughing at her and declares that laughter does not make her happy have a chorus effect, leading to Pinkie Pie sounding multi-voiced out of nowhere.
  • When Discord brainwashes Fluttershy, he says the last word of his sentence ("oholost") twice in a row before saying "Ciao" and disappearing.
  • When Fluttershy says "Boo hoo" to Twilight, a sound clip of Rarity lifting the "diamond" up from earlier is played right after. The same sound clip also plays after Rainbow Dash says "I have you now, element".
  • Rainbow Dash's "Nooo!" after her "vision" of Cloudsdale collapsing is played twice in a row.
  • When Twilight says "How is that possible?" after seeing Rainbow Dash fly away, the beginning of her dialogue as she is shown carrying Rarity's "diamond" is replayed.
  • When Discord declares that someone disobeyed his rule of no flying, the line "Well well well" is replayed. It also replays before Discord begins laughing as the episode ends.
  • In the studio-made recap at the beginning of the second half of part 2, due to the names 'Iskra' and 'Ivka' sounding highly similar, the narrator says that Applejack found the Elements of Harmony and attempted to use them, instead of Twilight Sparkle. Applejack at that point was shown as corrupted, and was secondary focus, whereas the correct finder Twilight is prominent in every shot.

  • In the custom recap preceding the second half, the narrator mentions that Apple Bloom is "experiencing strange things" and then at the end asks "Will Apple Bloom get better?", hinting early on that she is dealing with a disease before this fact is actually revealed.
  • The cutie pox is called "znakovite ospice". The episode title, however, misnames it as "ospice vještina" instead.
  • When Apple Bloom speaks French, Katarina Perica Kirin mispronounces "je parle français" (I speak French) as "j'ai parlé français" (I spoke French), thus turning the line into past tense while still actively speaking French.
  • When Rainbow Dash initially meets Tank, at first, she misnames him as a turtle (as in the original script), but in the very next sentence she correctly calls him a tortoise, to which Fluttershy redundantly remarks that he is a tortoise.
  • The same two recordings of Rainbow saying "Yes" and "No" and play at random times.

  • When Rainbow Dash tells Scootaloo to wait up, she addresses her using a second-person plural conjugation, which is only used for formal address and to multiple people.

  • The intro sequence after the studio-made recap at the beginning of the second half of "Secret of My Excess" is almost entirely replaced by footage from before the intro (ending on a brief shot of Twilight's hot air balloon before resuming where it left off), only leaving the opening theme audio playing over it.

  • Granny Smith's alphabet song remains the same as in the English version despite the Croatian alphabet containing extra letters, and as a result several letters are missing in the alphabet. It is likely that this mistake arose from the fact that both Serbian dubs of this episode used the Cyrillic alphabet for this song.

  • During "Piggy Dance", the babies' crying is muted.

  • When Derpy compliments Rainbow Dash, her lines are misdelivered in a cheeky tone, including her saying "Oops" right before crashing into a wall beam, thus creating the implication that she destroyed the town hall on purpose.
  • During the parts where Rainbow Dash dodges the lightning and groans right before telling Derpy to be careful, her line "Yeah" (from her reply to Derpy saying that she does not understand how it could happen) is repeated.
  • The line where Rainbow tells Derpy to sit down and do nothing is partially looped, ending in "No, no way!"
  • Mayor Mare's speech at the beginning is in slightly lower audio quality, making it seem as if the Mayor is talking through a megaphone, which she was not. Additionally, right after her first sentence, a magical blast sound effect plays even though no instance of magic usage occurs at that time.
  • Pinkie Pie's speech as Applejack is about to board the train is too long, still playing even as Pinkie is busy eating candy and slightly overlapping with Twilight's line.
  • Apple Bloom's farewell while Applejack is boarding the train is replaced by one of Applejack's previously recorded lines, saying "Of course, mayor!".
  • Applejack's line where she says "See you in 7 days" as the train departs is chorused.
  • After the train leaves, Twilight's groan is replaced by an instance of Rainbow saying "Yeah" from earlier. Rainbow's rant about not wanting to go home empty-hooved then overlaps with Fluttershy's line.
  • Before Applejack declares that she will tell everything at breakfast, her sigh is that of Fluttershy's.
  • Rainbow's "Yeah, maybe" is partially looped.
  • Pinkie Pie's line "Nopony breaks a Pinkie promise!" is omitted, and replaced by a drawn-out gasp followed by "Are you-".

  • "Flim Flam Cider Song" is mostly spoken instead of sung, outside of the chorus. It also suffers from misadaptations and audio errors:
    • In the chorus, the Flim Flam brothers claim that they came to "see miracles", as opposed to offering them to other ponies.
    • The chorus is copy-pasted in all instances of it appearing, along with the background music and sound effects accompanying it.

  • Big Mac's localised name ("Veliki Brat", meaning "Big Brother") creates a problem when he interacts with Cheerilee in a romantic way. Namely, when Cheerilee directly addresses Big Mac via his localised name, she sounds like she is calling him her brother and thus it creates an implication of incestuous romance, even when it should be clear that Cheerilee and Big Mac are unrelated to one another and not brother and sister.

  • The final parts of "Smile Song" are not dubbed, and instead the "Come on, everypony" refrain is played several times in their place, including the sound effects of windows opening.
  • A short excerpt of "Smile Song" is played instead of "Welcome Song".
  • "Cranky Doodle Donkey" is performed as spoken dialogue.
  • Cranky telling Pinkie Pie to put down the bauble from Fillydelphia is looped.
  • Matilda's reply to Cranky asking if it is really her is looped.
  • Pinkie Pie saying that her birthday is not for another 75 days is abruptly cut off until it is repeated in "Cranky Doodle Joy", resulting in her sentence ending on "75".
  • "Cranky Doodle Joy" is mainly taken up by Pinkie Pie's friendship lesson, which is spoken slower than the original and clips out of when it should have ended. The final line of the song is replaced by a nonsequitur repeated instance of her saying that her birthday is not for another 75 days (now intact this time).

  • During Twilight's initial encounter with her future self, she exclaims that her future self is scientifically possible right after saying that what just happened is not. This is corrected the second time, where her past self now says the correct translation.
  • After the title sequence during the second half, there is a video editing error where the first three seconds of the actual episode (the sunrise at the beginning) are inserted before the second half, before abruptly cutting to Spike and Twilight walking towards "Madame" Pinkie's tent.
  • The recap during the second half mentions that Twilight finds out "she's only been driving herself crazy", spoiling the plot twist that there was no disaster to begin with.

  • After the intro theme during the second half, there is a video editing error where the first three seconds of the actual episode are inserted before the second half, leading to a case where the beginning scene with the burrow is briefly shown before abruptly cutting to a gang of dragons cheering (which is also quickly followed by a scene transition from the original episode, practically putting two transitions within less than 5 seconds).
  • Starting from this episode and lasting for the rest of the season, Rarity and Rainbow Dash both get voiced by the same person as Twilight Sparkle. As a result, Twilight's remark about their fake dragon cover possibly being blown due to three different voices coming from it is a minor plot hole due to all three of them sounding too similar for the argument to make sense.
  • When Spike enters the Dragon Lands, an unknown male voice ramdomly says "Dobrodošao u dolinu zmajeva...".

  • One of the episode's transitions has a screen-peeling effect applied to it, despite the existing transition already consisting of cutting to a black screen before fading in to the new scene.

  • The recap during the second half claims that the ponies behind Gabby Gums are not a secret anymore, despite the fact the first half ends shortly after Rainbow Dash declares that she wants to see herself in the newspapers (and thus before the events that the recap describes actually take place).

  • Gustave le Grand's line "But how?" plays at several times other than its intended slot; it plays once after he brings up that all the desserts have been ruined, and two more times while Mulia Mild is "talking" after everyone has been rounded up for investigation.
    • During Mulia's part, the out-of-place clip completely replaces what was supposed to be "Why are we all here again?", resulting in Mulia saying "But how?" twice in Gustave's voice.
  • The audio is out of sync with the visuals, especially in the second half.
  • Mulia Mild's line about not being able to resist Joe's donuts is looped, along with dramatic music inserted into the background for unknown reasons.
  • The instance of Pinkie Pie shouting "A-ha!" plays several times throughout the episode.

  • Princess Cadance's Croatian name was localised as 'Kadenca'. While it is ultimately correct, the name is pronounced exactly the same as "Cadenza", from her full name Princess Mi Amore Cadenza; when Twilight Sparkle learns about the wedding, she does not recognise Cadance's full name, but does recognize her shorter name. Cadance's localised short name removed the distinction between her two names, which makes it seem as if Twilight should have recognized the full name.
  • The reprise of "B.B.B.F.F." uses an excerpt from the end of the first part of said song rather than entirely new lyrics.
  • At the beginning, Rarity's "Oooh!" is replayed after she tells how beautiful it is outside.
  • Twilight's line about Fluttershy's task overlaps with Fluttershy's line right after.
  • While Rarity is asking Twilight to confirm that they are helping with the wedding of not just a princess but a captain of the Royal Guard as well, her "Aaaah!" from when Applejack explains her acronym ("N.P.F. - Najbolje Poni Frendice") is replayed.
  • Rarity's fainting sequence after the above scene has both her native Croatian dialogue and the original English recording playing at once.
  • After Shining Armor explains why there are guards everywhere, the instance of him calling Twilight "Twily" is replayed.
  • In Twilight's flashback, Wild Fire's "My dear" after Cadance calms her and Lucky Clover down with a love spell is looped.
  • After "Princess Cadance" tosses Applejack's food into the trash, a sound clip of Twilight saying "Joj braco!" plays.
  • During "Cadance's" visit to Pinkie Pie's party, Pinkie Pie's "Alright" and "Let's see" at the beginning of the scene are replayed - the first one after the latter line plays and after she tosses a pair of dice, and the latter one after Pinkie Pie thanks "Cadence".
  • During the Mane 6's discussion about "Cadance's" behavior, Twilight's line about Applejack's food overlaps with Applejack's line and two of Fluttershy's lines overlap with other recordings after them (with Twilight's when telling about "Cadance" raising her voice, and with the bird's singing when telling that he really was off-key). Twilight's sentence about "Cadance" marrying her brother and Applejack asking about her being possessive also overlap each other.
  • Twilight's declaration about not being possessive of her brother is partially looped.
  • An instance of Twilight saying that "Cadance" is not just unpleasant and rude replaces her "She sure has a way of sneaking up on people" line.
  • "Cadance's" "You will be" is replayed just before part 1 of the episode finishes fading out.
  • The original recap from part 2 is mistakenly preceded by Twilight in the cave, and the recap itself consists of random voice recordings from different scenes instead of those that should be playing, leading to nonsensical dialogue.
  • Changelings go completely unnamed (aside from Queen Chrysalis mentioning her army of "helpers"), instead being referred to as "army", "minions" and "they change forms".
  • Twice during the Changeling battle - namely, when the Mane 6 fend off a Changeling group and when they find that the Changelings have gotten to the Elements of Harmony before them - a nonsequitur eerie, whispery male voice randomly says "Elementi sklada...".
  • For most of the episode, the audio channels for background music and sounds are off-set (resulting in an echo-like effect) and are slightly out of sync with the visuals. This does not apply to dialogue.
  • When the real Cadance is about to declare that it's "her special day", a sound clip of Twilight shouting "Hey!" plays before Cadance's line plays. Said sound clip also plays after Twilight and Cadance teleport to a higher ledge before being found by brainwashed bridesmaids.
  • When the wedding guests gasp at a transforming "Princess Cadance", their gasps are removed and instead replaced by Cadance's short gasps.
  • Chrysalis' declaration of Shining Armor not being able to fulfill his duty as the captain of the Royal Guard is too short, with the remaining time for her line filled in with one of her evil laughs.
  • While Chrysalis struggles against Celestia's magical beam, her shrieks are replaced by her laughing.
  • After Celestia is brought down, a very brief snippet at the beginning of Twilight shouting "Princess Celestia!" is retained from the original English track.
  • When Celestia is telling Twilight and her friends to get the Elements of Harmony, her line is too short to fit and is partially looped to fill the rest of her lip-syncing.
  • When Twilight and the transformed Changelings exclaim "Sjeti se, mjenjaju oblike!", the voice recording is of a slightly lower audio quality (akin to a person talking over a telephone). There is also only one instance of it when the Changelings talk instead of multiple ones at once.
  • A clip of Twilight saying "Ugh!" plays before her exclamation about the Changelings, when normally she says this after knocking a Twilight Sparkle Changeling out. It also plays when Chrysalis gasps at Cadance empowering Shining Armor, when Twilight runs off to Celestia after defeating the Changelings, and while Rainbow Dash is performing a Sonic Rainboom.
  • After Applejack tells Twilight "To sam ja, to sam ja!", an unknown voice randomly says Rarity's name.
  • Shortly after Chrysalis finishes her reprise of This Day Aria, audio from when Chrysalis stomps on the floor after Cadance attempts to attack her is mixed inbetween the song and Twilight rescuing Cadance.
  • Twilight's line about not knowing how Shining Armor got Princess Cadance to marry him overlaps with Shining Armor's reply afterwards.
  • The song "This Day Aria", which mostly copies the Serbian Studio Studio dub's lyrics, is exceptionally off-key and off-beat, with poor adaptation (including cramming too many words into one line) and vocal work. It also contains several erroneous sounds (Pinkie Pie shouting "Yay!" after the first line, destruction sound effects randomly playing in the middle of a verse, two unknown characters shouting when Princess Cadance takes flight), and the very last line of the song plays extremely late. Additional adaptational errors include:
    • Chrysalis' singing about lying about her love for the groom is changed to have her say that everyone should know that everything will go her way, making it inconsistent with the visuals where she caresses a mannequin and destroys the hat lying on top of it.
    • "But I still want him to be all mine!" is changed to say "But I'll be the one to marry him!", even though marrying Shining Armor is not Chrysalis' primary motive.
    • "I don't fear that I may lose him/to one who wants to use him" is translated as "If I lose the prince, she'll be his", which is both inconsistent and inaccurate (as Shining Armor was not a prince yet).
  • The song "Love Is In Bloom" is sung to the lyrics (based on the Serbian Blue House version) of "The Success Song", which is a song completely unrelated to the former, and comes from the third season of the show, which was not dubbed. As well as that, the instrumental track is doubled and the duplicate track is off-sync.
    • It is likely that this mistake arose from the fact that the sole Serbian dub of this episode did not dub this song and also suffers from the same error of having a doubled, off-beat instrumental.

  • Translations[]

    • Apple Bloom's name Cvjetka is a diminutive for 'flower'.
    • Rarity's name Ljubica refers to the violet flower, referring to her purple mane and implying her beauty.
    • Rainbow Dash's name Duga Jurić is a direct translation of the original name, but has the suffix 'ić' typical of Croatian last names.
    • Fluttershy's name Plahuljica is a portmanteau, and means 'shy snowflake'.
    • In "Applebuck Season":
      • When Pinkie Pie is asking a tired Applejack to get the ingredients, they are translated as "čokoladne mrvice" (chocolate chips), "prašak za pecivo" (baking powder), "šalica brašna" (a cup of flour), and "šalica šarenih mrva" (a cup of colorful sprinkles). Respectively, Applejack mishears as "grickalice" (snacks), "pivo" (beer), "limuna strašna" (lemon juice), and "vrtni crvi" (garden worms). Applejack's "fancy talk for earthworms" remark also became "Oh, this will be one strange cake!"
      • The help/kelp joke is translated as Twilight telling Applejack that the latter needs help (pomoć), which Applejack mishears as "midnight" (ponoć), leading her to protest that it is the middle of the day.
    • Cute-ceañeras are translated as 'mark parties'.
    • In "The Cutie Pox", "Is it an 'O'? Is your talent spelling?" is changed to "What does your 'zero' mean? Is that your grade in spelling?".
    • In "Family Appreciation Day", zap apples are called 'magic apples'.
      • To comply with Apple Bloom describing them as magical halfway throughout the episode and avoid redundancy, her line was changed to say "Magic apples are not regular apples - after all, they're... magic!".
    • Filthy Rich is named "Bogatun". Cheerilee calling him "Mr. Filthy" before correcting herself is also changed to have her call him "Bahatun" (a play on the word 'bahat', which means "arrogant").
    • In "The Last Roundup":
      • "Chimicherry" and "Cherrychanga" are translated as "Palatrešnja" and "Trešnjačinka" respectively: plays on the words "trešnja" (cherry) and "palačinka" (pancake).
    • In "Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000", cider is referred to as juice (as it is mainly alcoholic in Europe, even though the dub had previously added alcohol references where they were not in the original) in the Flim Flam Brothers song. The rest of the episode refers to it as "jabukovača", which can refer to both the alcoholic variant and regular juice, as well as apple pie.
    • Ponyville was first translated as "Ponigrad", but changed to "Ponijevo" near the end of season 2.
