Moj mali poni: Prijateljstvo je magija is one of several Serbian dubs of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Following the 2011 Minimax dub, it first premiered on Mini in Serbia and its neighboring countries, in June 2013. The dub was originally produced by Loudworks for seasons 1 and 2. Most season 1 and 2 episodes were released through a set of 10 DVDs.

On October 1, 2015, season 3 began to air with a new dubbing studio, Blue House, replacing all of the voice actors except Milan Tubić. The cast was changed again when season 5 was dubbed around this time, bringing back some of the voices from the Loudworks seasons, though Mini skipped the season, as when the series returned from hiatus, its run started from season 6 without airing any of the previous episodes. Season 6 was dubbed and aired in 2017 with another cast change, and season 5 eventually premiered nationwide on Dexy TV in 2020, though it had previously aired on the regional channel RTV 1 in Vojvodina years prior. The Blue House seasons were not released on DVD, and seasons 7-9 were not dubbed.

Broadcast

This dub has aired on various Serbian, Bosnian and Montenegrin stations and in Macedonia too. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically the Republika Srpska area, it aired on RTRS since 2014; only the first two seasons were aired.

Being one of the first shows on the channel, Pink Super Kids aired the show starting April 2015; only season one aired on the channel for years until they eventually aired up to season 4. RTS 2 has aired seasons 3-6 since June 2015. RTV 1 has aired seasons 3-5 since January 2017.

The dub briefly aired on Pikaboo, Mini's replacement, from November 25 to December 22, 2019 and again for a short period in 2023; only season 4 aired on the channel.

Starting March 26, 2020, only seasons 4 and 5 has aired on the channel Dexy TV, under the title Drugarstvo je magija.

Notes

• Aleksandra Širkić from the Minimax dub participates in the Loudworks seasons, but not as the same characters.
  • Marko Marković and Snežana Jeremić Nešković also reprise their roles as Discord and Spike and Starlight Glimmer, respectively, from the 2011 Minimax dub, under the Blue House-dubbed seasons.
• Parts of this dub can be heard in the Croatian HRT 2 dub, as that dub usually uses samples from this dub. It is unknown if Novi Mediji had authorization from Oblakoder to do so.
• The episodes "A Dog and Pony Show", "Sweet and Elite", and "A Canterlot Wedding" were never aired/released by various channels.
  • "Sweet and Elite" specifically was considered harmful to children, although all aforementioned episodes were still shown on Minimax.
• Although all other text was left in English and translated through a narrator, during the Oblakoder seasons, the ending credits were partially localised - instead of a complete translation of the original ending credits, they consist of scrolling dub credits.
• Despite the series being produced in widescreen and HD, seasons 1 and 2 were only released in a 4:3 pan-and-scan aspect ratio, as they were cropped during the localisation process.
• Even though her appearance is censored in at least Pink Super Kids airings, "The Last Roundup" is dubbed from the uncensored script so Muffins/Derpy is referred to by name as "Šeprtlja." However, she does not have a slurred voice.
• Although the script used to localize in Loudworks seasons is Latin, for Granny Smith's alphabet song in Family Appreciation Day, the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet is sung , which is a reference to the idea prevalent in Serbia of the Cyrillic script being more traditional or vintage.
• Oblakoder (even after the series became dubbed by Blue House) also dubbed the ads for My Little Pony toys in Serbia, which were released by Dexy Co, and therefore the Serbian translated names were used for the characters. The cast all reprised their roles, as well as the singers Ana Milenković and Aleksandra Bijelić Aleksijević. These ads even aired on Minimax, which created discrepancy between their dub and this one.

Translations

• Virtually all character names were localized. Additional names are:
  • Granny Smith – Baka Zelena (Grandma Green)
    • But only under Loudworks, then she became Baka Smit, the same name as Minimax which is directly translated from Granny Smith.
  • Gummy – Dobrica (Do-gooder)
  • Flutterguy - Tihan (actual male equivent of the name Tihana)
  • Cranky Doodle Donkey - Prgavko in S5E9, then Mrgudić in S6E6
  • Rainbow Dash's name, Šarenlota, is a portmanteau of šarena (colorful) and the actual given name Šarlota (Charlotte).
  • Fluttershy's name, Tihana, is an actual given name which means quiet.
• In some episodes, Angel Bunny is referred to as a female and called Anđela (Angela).
• Twilight is referred to as Iskra for short (as if in English she would be called Sparkle) because Iskra is a real given name.
• Canterlot is localized as "Kenterlot". However, possibly due to the translators forgetting to transcribe the name into Serbian in the script, it is often mispronounced as "Centerlot" (i.e. Tsenterlot).
• Daring Do is called Smela in Read It and Weep and Hrabrica in other episodes.
• The Wonderbolts are called Munjeviti.
• Changelings are called Promenjivci.

Errors

• In all Loudworks episodes, Večernja Iskra is misspelled as Večenja Iskra in the credits.
• In episode 14, Twilight Sparkle calls the Canis Major constellation the Big Dipper, which is not the constellation shown on-screen. The exact same mistake happens in the Croatian Novi Mediji dub because they copied the script from this dub.
• In S4E2 and S4E4, the theme song is instrumental.
• In S5E9, Twilight's lines play a lot later than her lips say them.
