Trivia[]

In the first dubbing, various Italian personalities were mentioned multiple times. For example, in the episode featuring Gladys Knight, Rowlf the Dog references Edmondo Bernacca, a meteorologist. Additionally, in the episode featuring Don Knotts, Kermit exclaims to Fozzie, "He thinks he's Orsomando," a clear reference to Nicoletta Orsomando, one of RAI's announcers known as "signorine buonasera."

Besides referencing famous people of the time, the first dubbing also frequently mentioned Italian cities:

  • In the episode featuring Connie Stevens, during the opening number, Milan and Forlì are mentioned.
  • In the episode featuring Milton Berle, Zelda Rose becomes "Rosalia Cannamozza from Cefalù in Sicily."

The most drastic voice change in the first dubbing was that of Miss Piggy. Initially, Isa Di Marzio was chosen as her voice, but later, instructions arrived from the United States specifying that Piggy's voice should be that of a man. As a result, Isa Di Marzio was replaced by Roberto Del Giudice (who was working at Mops Film at the time).
