Murder, She Wrote is an American crime drama television series developed by Peter S. Fischer, Richard Levinson, and William Link. It stars Angela Lansbury and is produced and broadcast by Universal Television for the CBS network. The series follows Jessica Fletcher, a mystery writer and amateur detective who becomes active in the investigation of deaths in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine, as well as across the United States and beyond.

The series was a major success during its broadcast, becoming a staple of CBS's Sunday night TV schedule for nearly a decade, while also being one of the most successful and longest-running television shows in history, averaging 25 million viewers per week during its peak. In syndication, the series remains tremendously successful and popular around the world. Lansbury received ten Golden Globe nominations and four wins for her role on the show, as well as 12 Emmy nominations, setting a record for the most Golden Globe nominations and wins for Best Actress in a Television Drama Series and the most Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

After the series ended in 1996, four television movies (Murder, She Wrote: South by Southwest, Murder, She Wrote: A Story to Die For, Murder, She Wrote: The Last Free Man and Murder, She Wrote: The Celtic Riddle) were released between 1997 and 2003. Two point-and-click video games were launched on PC: one in 2009 and a sequel in 2012. A spin-off book series continues to be published as of 2024.
