My Big Big Friend - The Movie is a 2022 Canadian-Brazilian animated adventure fantasy film based on My Big Big Friend, produced by 2DLab and Goodfellas Animation oversees international distribution. It was directed by Andrés Lieban and written by Claudia Koogan Breitman & Clive Endersby. The music for the film was composed by Christiaan Oyens, who recorded the score with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The movie follows Yuri, Lili, and Matt getting ready for a special day. Until their dreams go down the drain when they discover that the parents have changed their plans and are now going to the same summer camp together, with several unknown children. That's where they decide to escape to a fantastic place where Doodle Doubt lives, a creature who wants to have all the Buddies to himself and ends up distracting the children and taking Golias, Nessa, and Bongo to a distant island where he hides many other big big friends. Yuri, Lili, and Matt must join forces and embark on a journey full of adventure and mystery to save them.
The film initially released with a Brazilian Portuguese dub in Brazil on May 12, 2022, under the title Meu AmigãoZão - O Filme; the English version will release in theaters in Canada on July 2, 2025, followed by France on July 9 and Mexico on July 17. Netflix acquired the rights for the film for release on July 25, 2025.
