This article is about the European Spanish dub. For the Latin American Spanish dub, see here. |
My Little Pony: La magia de la amistad is the European Spanish dub of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. The dub first premiered on Boing in Spain on September 12, 2011[1][2]. It also aired on Cartoonito. Only one season aired, and the show stopped airing sometime in 2012.
From April 14, 2013, the dub continued on Disney Channel where it would air its second season and beyond[3]. The show also aired on Disney Junior. The season six finale aired on October 26, 2016; since then, an infinite hiatus was entered as nothing from the remaining seasons would air on Disney Channel. Despite this, the official My Little Pony YouTube account released clips of episodes from seasons 7 and 8, including the song "A Kirin Tale", proving that they were dubbed[4].
Eventually, on April 18, 2022, the entirety of season 8 was eventually released on Rakuten TV; season 7 still remains unreleased, and it is unknown if season 9 was dubbed.
The dub is also currently available to stream via Netflix.

Notes[]
- The episode titles are normally localized on-screen; despite this, the episode "Sisterhooves Social" is the only time an episode's title is read out.
- A prototype of the opening theme was posted to Facebook, a few days before the show's premiere on Boing. It is not much different from the finalized version, although the "My Little Pony" choruses in this version are dubbed, when they are retained from the original English version in the final dub.[10]
- Terminology
- Iron Will is called Voluntad de Hierro
- Cutie marks are called Marca de Belleza
- The Cutie Mark Crusaders are called Las Cruzadas de la Marca de Belleza and Las Buscadoras de la Marca
