Oliver Rohrbeck is a German actor, voice actor, voice director and he adapts scripts for dubbing.
Biography[]
Oliver Rohrbeck, whose mother was the owner of a children's agency, grew up with his sister Ute in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin. He first attended the Wald-Gymnasium and then the Erich-Hoepner-Oberschule. In the 11th grade, Oliver Rohrbeck left the grammar school and switched to Erika Dannhoff's private drama school.
He appeared on television from an early age and went on to take on numerous dubbing and audio play roles. In 1976/1977, Oliver Rohrbeck was the national winner of the German reading competition. According to Bela B, Rohrbeck is said to have been active in the Berlin punk and squatter scene around 1979/1980.
During his school years, he performed at the Schillertheater (Schiller Theater) in Berlin. After completing his acting exams, he worked at the Vaganten Bühne (Vagant Stage) in Berlin from 1984 to 1991.

Oliver Rohrbeck appeared in several audio plays by Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren from the mid-1970s. In 1978, he dubbed Marcus Harris as Julian Kirrin in the youth adventure series The Famous Five and was subsequently engaged for the radio play version of the same name by Europa, which, like the television series, is based on the novels by Enid Blyton.
As part of this collaboration, the producer offered the then 13-year-old a leading role in the detective series Die drei ??? (based on the book series Three Investigators), which became the world's most successful audio play series in the following decades. Since 1979, Rohrbeck has appeared alongside Andreas Fröhlich and Jens Wawrczeck in all the episodes released to date.
Parallel to his audio drama activities, Oliver Rohrbeck also established himself as a child's voice in the profession of film dubbing at an early age. At the age of seven, even before he was able to read, he was used alongside Harald Juhnke and Georg Thomalla to voice the main character of the same name in the Disney production Pinocchio. In the years that followed, he could be heard again and again in film and television productions.
Oliver Rohrbeck lives in Berlin. He is the father of two daughters. His daughter Leyla Rohrbeck also works in dubbing and audio plays. His older sister is the former dubbing and audio play voice actress Ute Rohrbeck. At the age of 37, Oliver Rohrbeck had to undergo heart surgery. He received an artificial heart valve.
