Ping and Friends is a Canadian-Brazilian animated musical children's TV series created by Celia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo. Produced by TV PinGuim and Kondolole Films, the series premiered on November 12, 2018 on TVO in Canada.

The series follows Ping and her friends (Pong, a dog, Matilda, a black cat, Mr. Prickles, a hedgehog, and Trix06, their robot assistant) as they find musical inspiration in unlikely places. While having fun with words and sounds, they come up with the most fantastical songs imaginable.

Notes[]

  • There are two versions of the show's theme song.
    • The main, original version is sung only through the perspective as Ping. Pong doesn't sing, and his mouth is closed at the part where the cast is flying on music notes and bubbles. The title card shown at the end has all of the main characters pose on the logo. This one is also used in the French dub, since it uses the English version as a base.
      • Another version of the original was added to Kartoon Channel/Sensical/Kidoodle.TV/Ameba, where the only difference is that Pong does appear to sing during the part where the cast is on musical notes and bubbles, however the audio is the same, so he is lipsyncing to nothing. This specific version was also used in the Taiwanese Mandarin and the Venezuelan dubs, where Pong also doesn't sing like in the original.
    • An alternate version is used in the Latin American versions. In this one, the perspective changes to both Ping and Pong. After Ping introduces Mr. Prickles, Pong sings along with Ping. Pong also introduces himself near the end. This version uses a different title card that features just Ping and Pong. All of this was done because the show's title in Latin America is "Sing with Ping and Pong".
