Pokémon, la série (or simply Pokémon) is the French dub of ポケットモンスター. It aired from September 5, 1999 to 2003.
In former Canadian broadcasts, the character names were left in English.

Canadian French version (partial redub)[]
The Canadian French dub was a modified version of the European French dub. While it used all of the same dialogue from the European French version, all of the character names were modified to match the names used in the English version (for example, "Misty" was used replacing "Ondine", and "Charmander" replacing "Salamèche"). The dub aired on Télétoon, a cable channel based in Montreal, and was released on VHS and DVD by Imavision Distribution Inc.
