Presque populaires is the French dub of Popularity Papers. The first three episodes were added to Okoo on September 13, 2024,[1] alongside france.tv, myCANAL, and Molotov TV, despite a previous advert claiming that the first two episodes would be added.[2] The first episode was also uploaded to Okoo's YouTube channel on September 22, 2024, while the second would be uploaded on the 24th and the third being uploaded on November 5. Two new episodes were released every Friday at midnight until October 18. The remaining 13 episodes will be released from March 3 to April 7, 2025.
It also made its television debut on France 4 on its Okoo programming block on October 20, alongside the original English version itself on the channel's second audio program. Two episodes aired every Sunday at 18:50 CET and 19:15 CET until November 24.[3]

On the Okoo app: This year, we've got a chance to try and become popular! Here's the foolproof way to find all your answers: - Ask a question. How did Addison become instantly popular? - Do your research. She looks so cool. But so do we! Maybe on Planet Lame. There isn't one in this school who knows how to be nice! - Draw conclusions. I think the most important thing is to face your fears and give it your all. Here we go! Almost popular and, above all, willing to do almost anything to become so. Two episodes every Friday on the Okoo app!
Miscellaneous[]

Notes[]
- Just like the Italian dub, all songs are undubbed and are left in English.
- The only song to be given French subtitles is Me and Only Me, albeit the final lyrics are not accompanied with any subtitles.
- The logo used in this dub uses the incorrect orange-yellow color scheme, in contrast to the series' logo that has a yellow-green color scheme. This error is also present in both the poster and the vast majority of promotional material for the show itself.
- Pauline Haùgness, Laëtitia Liénart, Olivier Prémel, and Héléna Coppejans are credited without the diacritics in their names.
- Micheline Tziamalis is not listed in the dubbing credits for My Art Will Go On or Tears Of a Class Clown, despite voicing Janitor Sam and Guidance Counselor, both of which appeared in the aforementioned episodes.
- Similarly, the entire translation team were not credited in any of the dubbing credits.
- From Ghost Mortem onwards, David Manet is no longer listed in the dubbing credits as the voice of Alex Chang.
Trivia[]
- The series was treated as if it had been split into 2 seasons, with the promotional poster for episodes 12 and 13 stating "The last two episodes of the season".
- In this dub, Lydia's Goldbladder nickname is translated as "vessie sur pattes", meaning "a walking bladder".
- Principal Larocque's DJ name, DJ Larocque Paper Scissors is translated as "DJ Laroche Pierre Feuille Ciseaux",[C 6] meaning "DJ Larocque Rock Paper Scissors".
- Julie's nickname Jules is not used in this dub; her own name is used instead. This also applies to Lydia with her Lyds nickname.
- Manfred Manatee is simply referred to as "Mascot" in the closing credits.
- Similarly, Abby Stretch's role as Bobcat Player in Smells Like Tween Spirit was translated as "Opposing Player".
- Henry's "Headgear Henry" nickname was translated as "Henry la ferraille", meaning "Henry the Scrap Metal".
- Several inaudible background characters are given actual dialogue in this dub.
- Similarly, in Friends In Junior High Places, during the scene where a piece of trash is thrown onto Julie's table, the "Ooh" noise done by faint background characters was dubbed over to make it more audible.
- All mentions of dollars are instead changed to euros.
- Both this dub and the Italian dub have interestingly translated the episode title Freaks and Cliques as simply "The Lip Balms".
- In Teamwork Makes the Scene Work, the scene where Lydia accidentally preforms a line from The Boxer with an Australian accent is changed to her doing it in a Belgian accent.
- In My Art Will Go On:
- Alex's line where he says "I could make you a regular one, but kitty cakes are ready right "meow"." was translated as "I could bake you regular pancakes, but the ones in the shape of a cat are so meow-y.".
- The word "dank" is translated as dingue, which is slang for crazy/incredible.
- Additionally, Dimitri's line where he says "For instance, did you know that the word "dank" sometimes does not mean disagreeably musky?" was translated as "For example, did you know that the word "incredible" wasn't always synonymous with something insane or absurd?".
- Lydia and River's lines where they say "Morgan, I know you've been looking for a scoop." and "A scoop? Scoops are for ice-cream parlours, Goldblatt." respectively were translated as "Morgan, I know you're looking for an exclusive." and "An exclusive? You're the one I'd like to exclude from my office.".
- Additionally, River's line where they say "Um... How do I put this lightly? No one goes to that thing. It's a dud." was translated as "How can I put this nicely? Actually, nobody's going to see this thing. It's boring as hell.".[C 7]
- Lydia's line near the end of the episode where she says "You deserve first prize way more than "Feet the Rich"." was translated as "And you deserved first prize more than you deserved to put on rich people's shoes.".
- In Hike a Pose:
- The scene where Lydia tells Julie to do a Charlie's Angels pose was changed to her wanting Julie to do a James Bond pose.
- Elaine's line where she says "Good to go on next phase. Send... No, not "raise", "phase"! Jared, you are not getting a raise!" was translated with orientation being used as a replacement for phase, as it sounds similar to the French word for "raise" (augmentation). When translated to English, the line would read "I'll agree to a new orientation. Send... no, "orientation", not "raise". Jared, you're not getting a raise!".
- Addison's line where she says "C'était amusant!... It was fun." was translated as "It was ecstatic!... It was fun.".
- In Smells Like Tween Spirit, River's line where they say "Deirdre! Field hockey is powerful, passionate, and possibly Peabody-worthy. I would love to get an interview." was translated as "Deirdre! I hope to win the prize for best reporter thanks to the exciting sport of field hockey. Could I interview you? If you like.".
- In Tears of a Class Clown:
- Julie's line where she says "Well, show me what you got, Mary Seinfeld." was translated as "Now show me what you've got Miss Pro at humor.".
- Lydia's line where she says "You ever see this guy play basketball? Travels so much, they won't let him on the court without a tourist visa." was translated as "Ever seen Mike play basketball? He walks so much on the court that we won't let him play without hiking boots.".
- Chuck's line where he says "That's part of your Netflix comedy special or whatever that was." was translated as "As part of your special one-hour episode or whatever...", completely removing the Netflix mention.
- The French voice actor for Mrs Wan rather than saying "Your Mandarin is so bad" instead continues to laugh.
- In Middle School of Rock:
- While the original episode title was a subtle reference to School of Rock, the French title shares the exact same French name for both the film and TV series.
- Lydia and Julie's line where they say "Look, she's even dragging Julie into this, making her the frontwoman when she clearly doesn't have an edgy bone in her body." and "I can be edgy! Just call me Dodecahedron." were translated as "Seriously, she even drags poor Julie into her delirium by naming her the band's singer when she's not even capable of the slightest audacity." and "I can be audacious! Call me a risk-taker!".
- The section in the closing credits that says "Awesome Guitar Lick By Pierre Drivas" was translated as "Guitar riffs by Pierre Drivas".
- In Trendship Never Ends, Elaine's line where she says "We've always wanted to go to Paris, see the Eiffel Tower, call pancakes 'le crêpes' and feel so fancy about it." was translated as "We've always wanted to go to Paris, see the Eiffel Tower, eat macaroons and crêpes and feel very sophisticated.".
- In Ghost Mortem:
- Lucy's line where she says "My mom's doing it for a TV show, Houses, Horrors and Haunts." was translated as "My mom is the host of the show Collocation with the Afterlife.".
- Melody and Sinead's lines where they say "Hey, do we have math class together?", "No, but I think we do have chemistry.", and "I dont take chem... Oh" were translated as "Aren't you in my high school math class?", "No. I don't need that to know you're a 10 out of 10.", and "I only got an 8... Oh.".
- Additionally, in the scene where Melody and Sinead meet again, the former's line "Poetry. Emo poetry." was translated as "Poetry. I write poetry and words.".
- The vegan edible make up company I Hate Everything is translated as "It's Repugnance".
- In Freaks and Cliques, Evan and Julie's lines where they say "Check out the running man.", "Running person.", and "If only the '90s were as inclusive." were translated as "The running man, l'homme qui court.[C 8]", " The person who runs, it's more inclusive.", and " I wasn't up to speed on these matters yet.".
- In Friends In Junior High Places, Lydia's line where she says "Would you ask Barack Obama that question?" was translated as "Would you ask a president a question like that?"
- In The Athenian Candidate, Addison's promotional taglines were translated as follows:
Go with the Flow-rence → Follow the Flow-rence
Be rad-ison, vote for Addison → Come to 10, vote for Addison[C 9]
You'll be glad if you elect Addison → If you want it to sound right, vote Addison
Add-ison her name to your ballots → Simon says, vote for Addison
Furthermore, Addison's response to the antepenultimate tagline "I don't get it, will we be paying for everyone's room at the rad-ison?" was translated as "I don't get it, to vote for me you'd have to come to 10?"
- In We Gonna Party Like It's Your Earth Day:
- The French subtitles for the song "Me and Only Me" have the lyrics for the first verse be an acronym for "Lydia" like the original English version.
- While the song itself is undubbed and left in English, Lydia's two lines of dialogue "And that's me!" and "It'll come from me!" were dubbed in French.
- In Skate Expectations, there is an error where an alternate version of the fourth step of Lydia's Does skateboarding make you popular? plan appears for a singular frame.
The alternate version with minor changes.

- ↑ The term retripler refers to the act of repeating something three times. While there is no official English translation for the word, it can be loosely translated as "to repeat [something] three times".
- ↑ Both "roche" and "pierre" mean rock.
- ↑ The French phrase used here, "c'est à crever d'ennui", can also be translated as "It's enough to bore you to death.".
- ↑ This is simply a direct translation of "the running man", meaning "the man who runs".
