Roary the Racing Car is the American English dub of the show of the same name. It has previously aired on PBS Kids Sprout and Treehouse TV.
Dubbing History[]
In 2008, PBS Kids Sprout picked up the series in the US and produced a US English dub for the series, along with a voice recast and accent changes, such as Maxi's accent changing from an Italian accent to a Brooklyn one, some characters' names were changed, for example, Cici was renamed Zizzy, Drifter to Dragga, Flash to Furz, FB to Trucksy, PC Pete to Police Officer Pete, and Plugger to Lugga. The US dub of the show premiered on October 10, 2008 on Sprout on Demand, with it then premiering on PBS Kids Sprout on October 13, 2008, three days later, at 12PM ET. This dub switches out British terms with American ones. Interestingly, the US dub features most of the same voice cast as the original UK one, with the notable main exceptions being Peter Kay to Kerry Shale and Stirling Moss to Sam Hornish Jr..
