Royfilm s.r.l. is a Italian dubbing studio located in Rome, Italy, best known for it's dubs of Disney content since 1958.

History[]

Before the establishment of Royfilm, Roberto de Leonardis, an Italian script translator, film dialogue writer. and film lyricist, had an entrusted relationship with The Walt Disney Company since 1947, whereas he was recruited to translate their films into the native language for the country's audience.

In 1949, Roberto would establish his former studio Filmeco, with the intent of the production of documentaries, titles, and dubbing, although, it was short-lived when he became a fully-fledged writer, and two years after, the company closed down in favor for a new studio solely dedicated to dubbing. In 1958, Roberto later established his own dubbing studio, Royfilm, and he would continue producing Italian versions of various non-Disney films until his death on 1984.
