Sítio do Picapau Amarelo is a Brazilian television series produced by Rede Globo and shown from October 12, 2001 to December 7, 2007, in 1159 episodes divided into 7 seasons. Based on the book series of the same name written by Monteiro Lobato, it was initially adapted by Márcio Trigo and Roberto Talma, who also directed it. It was the fifth television adaptation of the work, after the first version aired by Rede Tupi between 1952 and 1963, the second version aired by TV Cultura in 1964, the third version aired by Band between 1967 and 1969 and the fourth version aired by Band itself and Globo between 1977 and 1986.
