SASUKE Ninja Warrior (formerly known as SASUKE from 1997 to 2017 and SASUKE RISING from 2012 to 2014) is an Japanese sports entertainment reality show television series, originally production by Monster9 from 1997 to 2011 and TBS since 2012 and premiered on September 27, 1997 on the TBS Television.
100 competitors attempt to complete a four-stage obstacle course location at Midoriyama studios in Yokohama. In its 40 editions, all four stages of the course have been completed a total of only six times, by four different competitors. These were Kazuhiko Akiyama in the 4th competition (1999), Makoto Nagano in the 17th competition (2006), Yuuji Urushihara in the 24th (2010) and 27th (2011) competitions, and Yusuke Morimoto in the 31st (2015) and 38th (2020) competitions.
An edited version, Ninja Warrior, is screened in at least 18 other countries.
