Sailor Moon is the French dub of 美少女戦士セーラームーン.
Only 166 episodes were initially dubbed and aired on TV. The last season, Stars, would later release as a DVD exclusive released by Kazé.
Channel history[]
TF1[]
Sailor Moon first premiered on TF1's children programming block, Club Dorothée Noël, on 1993-12-23 and then moved to the non-Christmas version of the block on 1994-01-10. Club Dorothée broadcasted the first 4 series, although the fourth one was programmed in an erratic manner in 1996 - 1997 (the last 17 episodes were not even broadcast and they were released solely on VHS). Club Dorothée continued to broadcast the series until 1997-09 with episode 149 being the last episode aired.
AB Cartoons[]
Sailor Moon premiered on AB Cartoons in 1996 with the remaining 17 episodes of the fourth season which were not broadcast by TF1. After that, the channel started repeating the series from the beginning.
TMC[]
Sailor Moon premiered on TMC in 1996-09.
Mangas[]
Sailor Moon premiered on Mangas in 1998-09.
On February 22nd 2024, the French pay-tv channel Mangas, which had previously aired the anime in the late 90s', announced via its twitter account, that the first season of the anime would be rebroadcast starting April 2024, in a remastered version completely uncensored by Mediawan Thematics (previously known as AB Productions).

Sailor Moon premiered on RTL9 in 1998.
Fox Kids[]
Sailor Moon premiered on Fox Kids in 2000.
Club RTL[]
Sailor Moon premiered on Club RTL in 2002.
TVA[]
Sailor Moon was broadcast in Québéc by TVA in similar time to English DiC broadcast for Canada. The dub got mixed results and many people complained that the French version was bad, but on the other side appreciated that a lot of things were left unchanged, unlike the American version.
