Sesame Street is one of two Dutch dubs of the show of the same name. It aired on Nederland 2 which was broadcasted by VARA on June 11, 1972, as a test to see if Sesame Street could be adapted for the Netherlands. A pilot for a co-production, Sesamplein (featuring most of the same cast), was shot 2 years later, before developing into Sesamstraat.
