Shake It Up is the Hindi adaptation of the show of the same name. It first premiered on Disney Channel in India on March 30th, 2013 and aired new episodes until November 2nd of the same year. The series was created by Chris Thompson.
The series revolves around the misadventures of best friends Neel (Neeladri) Walia and Yash (Yashpal) Mehta, two confident and energetic 13-year-olds who are skilled dancers and are on the threshold of taking their steps into the world of professional dancing.
Unlike the original series it is adapted from, the main characters are male. Neel and Yash are genderbent versions of Rocky Blue and CeCe Jones. Neel is the equivalent of CeCe Jones, portrayed by Bella Thorne and Yash is the equivalent of Rocky Blue, portrayed by Zendaya.
The adaptation only covered the first season, no second and third seasons were produced.
