Sissi: The Young Empress (in Italian: Sissi, la giovane imperatrice) is an Italian animated children's television series, produced by Mondo TV and in co-production with Sole di Carta. It initially consisted of 2 seasons with 52 episodes overall. The series premiered with an Italian dub on Boing from October 26, 2015, and reran on Cartoonito on the weekends, starting from October 31. After stopping at episode 13, the series continued on Cartoonito from March 13, 2016.
During the broadcast of the second season[1], it was announced that the third season was in development.[2] It would see a switch to CGI animation, and aired briefly on Cartoonito from January 7, 2020 to January 23 of the same year. The original language of this season switched to Italian, with the English version becoming the dub.
