Trivia[]
- In the episode "Frowning Friends", there's a scene in which Mr. Boss is arguing with an evil version of himself in a mirror, who pressures him into going through with his plans on taking down the titular business. This scene pays homage to a similar scene in the 2002 Spider-Man film, where Norman Osborn is doing the same thing, right before giving in to his Green Goblin persona. Coincidentally, both the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man canon and Mr. Boss in Smiling Friends are voiced in Latin American Spanish by Jesse Conde, meaning he dubbed both the original and parody versions of this sequence. This was acknowledged by series creators Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack during the episode's audio commentary.
- The Latin American voice actors of Charlie and Pim make a special cameo appearance in the original English version of the episode "Brother's Egg", when Charlie and Pim speak to each other secretly in Spanish about their plan to help Professor Psychotic and Doug's dilemma.
- In the dub of this same episode, the script was changed and Charlie and Pim are now whispering to each other (like in "Desmond’s Day Out") instead of speaking in another language.
Errors[]
- When the third episode of the third season ("Mole Man") was released onto HBO Max, the Brazilian Portuguese dub of the episode was mistakingly used in place of the Latin American Spanish language track. This was fixed a few days later.
