Smurfs is an upcoming 2025 American-Belgian computer-animated/live-action musical animated film produced by Paramount Animation, Marcy Media Films, LAFIG Belgium & Peyo Company and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Based on the characters and works created by Peyo, the film is the eighth overall film in the Smurfs franchise, the fifth to be released in cinemas and the third to be animated, following 2018's Smurfs: The Lost Village and 1976's The Smurfs and the Magic Flute, the film was directed by Chris Miller, written by Pam Brady, produced by Ryan Harris, Rihanna, Laurence "Jay" Brown & Tyran "Ty-Ty" Smith and stars the voice of Rihanna herself, alongside a large ensemble featuring the voices of Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, J. P. Karliak, Dan Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña with Kurt Russell and John Goodman.

When Papa Smurf gets kidnapped by their longtime nemesis Gargamel, now accompanied by his brother Razamel, Smurfette must now lead the Smurfs on an adventure to the real world where they meet new characters, and discover what defines their destiny to save their universe. The film will release in North America on July 18, 2025.
