Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings is a 2024 2D-animated online web series, in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, written by Ian Flynn and produced by Sega, with animation done by Studio Giggex and Simage Animation.

It is a three-episodic series that depicts Shadow the Hedgehog's backstory, and serves as a prologue to both Sonic Generations and Shadow Generations.

A preview of the first episode was first shown on July 6, 2024 at the annual Anime Expo event. All three episodes were released weekly starting September 25, 2024.
