Censorship[]
A Transgender flag poster reading “Protect Trans Kids” in Gwen's room caused the film to be banned from screening in several Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia,[7][8] where the gender expression of trans people is illegal. Sony had still offered Arabic subtitles for the film on home media releases in France, much like offering Simplified Chinese subtitles for Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home on American home media releases to circumvent those films' bans in China.
