SpongeBob SquarePants is one of two European Portuguese dubs of the show of the same name. It has previously aired on TVI and it is currently airing on Nickelodeon.

SpongeBob SquarePants started airing on Nickelodeon on June 1, 2005 with the premiere of the 3rd season and a new dub that replaced the one that aired on SIC due to errors, bad translation, and an overall terrible dubbing quality. The first four seasons were dubbed and aired throughout then and 2010, when the show was redubbed once again after Nickelodeon rebranded. This dub started with the 7th season and was almost the same as the old one albeit with some translation changes. The older seasons were redubbed once more, with the exception of the 3rd season, and there hasn't been another redubbing since.
TVI[]
SpongeBob SquarePants started airing on TVI in 2010 and stopped playing in 2014. From 2012 to 2014, the show played as part of their now defunct Kid Kanal block.

Trivia[]
- The 2005 dub covered seasons 1 to 5.
- This version is partially lost, since only the 3rd season is completely found.
- From 2009 onwards, the seasons 1-2, 4-5 were redubbed with some minor changes to the cast.
- This is the version that continues to be dubbed nowadays.
- For unknown reasons, this version did not redub season 3.
- Instead, this season's 2005 dub is broadcasted simultaneously with the 2010 dub of other seasons.
