SpongeBob SquarePants is one of two Hindi dubs of the show of the same name. It has previously aired on Zee TV, Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon Sonic and Nick Jr., and it is currently airing on Nick HD+ and ETV Bal Bharat; it is also available online on JioCinema.
Broadcast history[]
Zee TV[]
SpongeBob SquarePants's Hindi dub first premiered in 2001, on Zee TV's Nickelodeon block. The block served as a replacement for their formerly existing Disney block. The block ended on September 1, 2002 when the block was replaced with a Cartoon Network one.
Nickelodeon (India)[]
SpongeBob SquarePants was one of Nickelodeon (India)'s initial programs when it started in 2000. At first, the show was only broadcast in English. The show started airing in Hindi in 2003, when Nick India began a Hindi feed.[1] It was pulled off along with all other Nickelodeon original cartoons in August 2018 when Nickelodeon (India) became more oriented towards locally produced programming.
Nickelodeon Sonic[]
Not much is known about SpongeBob SquarePants airing on Nickelodeon Sonic, but we do know that it was during the 2010s.
Nick HD+[]
SpongeBob SquarePants was one of Nick HD+'s initial programs when it started on December 5, 2015 and it still airs today.
ETV Bal Bharat[]
SpongeBob SquarePants began airing on ETV Bal Bharat on April 3rd, 2023, alongside the Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati dubs and the original English version. However, some episodes of season 2[2], as well as seasons 7-8 air with a completely different Hindi dub, despite the fact that the channel already has the Viacom18 dub. Nonetheless, the remainder of season 2, as well as seasons 1 and 3-6 still use the Viacom18 dub.

Notes[]
- The dub went into a hiatus after Season 10 as Viacom18 is no longer affiliated with Paramount (meaning that they cannot get any new Nick content from them) and ETV Bal Bharat (who currently has the rights to the series) only airs seasons 1-8, the SD format era of the series. Sometime in 2025, the eleventh season was added onto JioHotstar and Tata Play Binge with Hindi audio along with other dubs.
