Trivia[]

  • Most of the cast from the anime was changed, with the exception of Jefferson Utanes as Doraemon. and Louie Paraboles as Gian (although strangely, he doesn't reprise his role as Suneo).
    • Mark Ivan Uy and Steven Bontogon would later go on to play Nobita and Suneo in the dub of the 2005 anime in 2019.
  • Jefferson Utanes and Mark Ivan Uy reprise their roles as Doraemon and Nobita Nobi in the Netflix dub.
    • Louie Paraboles also returned, this time voicing Suneo (reprising his role as the character from the 1979 anime) and Sewashi/Soby.
  • GMA Television had the rights to the Doraemon anime at the time the film was released, while ABS-CBN broadcast the film due to its relationship with the movie distributor.
  • Some names of characters were changed to those of the English dub (Sewashi to Soby; Sensei to Mr. S) for unknown reasons. It is possible that said dub was used as a basis for this one.
