Strawberry Shortcake is a Canadian animated web series, based on the franchise of the same name. It is produced by DHX Media (now known as WildBrain), and was short-lived, comprising of only 5 webisodes in total, each 5 minutes in length. The series adapts several stories from the IDW comics, and is loosely based on Berry Bitty Adventures, but in a 2D art style.
Unlike the main series, Strawberry, Orange, the Grapes twins, and Blueberry are the only returning characters, with the latter only making a single minor appearance. Steve Piemanne and Raisin Cane also appear due to some of their comic stories getting adapted. The stories are also heavily altered to replace the original casts with the 2018 cast. It ran from May 4 to June 20, 2018 on the franchise's official YouTube channel.
The series was produced during the production of Berry in the Big City, which would replace this web series soon after its release in 2021.
